Portfolio

My portfolio explain some projects I used to be, or still am, involved with. The applications vary from this ASP.NET web application to Web design projects and a complete Access 2003 database application.

Masters Dissertation 2007 - Bluetooth & .NET

In 2007, I finished my masters’ course at the University of Abertay Dundee in Scotland. As topic of my dissertation (or end work) I choose to go in the direction of mobile and wireless technologies. I was always interested in Bluetooth and how to program for it, and so I saw my chance to go deeper into this, for me at the time, unknown subject. I ended with an 80-page document, explaining the pervasive computing environment, detailed Bluetooth technology and a prototype of Bluetooth programming using the .NET 2.0 Framework on the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform.

Type: Research and .NET Mobile application with Bluetooth programming
Location: Word Document
Used technologies: .NET 2.0, Mobile 5.0, Bluetooth, 32Feet

www.littlefool.com

This web application is the latest project I worked on. It is completely written in ASP.NET 2.0 and the entries are XML-stored. More technical details will be added soon.

Type: ASP.NET 2.0 XML-based web log
Location: www.littlefool.com
Used technologies: ASP.NET 2.0, C#, XML Serialization, Custom Collections

Aardappelen Michel

A project that started about 2 years ago as and administrative help for my uncle’s self employed business in potatoes. The first functionality was just a quick and easy way of making monthly bills for his customers. Now the functionality has extended to general book keeping and creating price lists. Updates and ideas are still implemented. Currently, the application exist out an Access database with forms and reports, but I am in the process of transporting it to a SQL Server 2005 Express database with a .NET Windows application, allowing much more flexibility and functionality in the future.

Type: Microsoft Access 2003 Database application
Location: Installed at the office
Used technologies: Access Programming, Forms, Reports, VBA, Database design, SQL Query language

Enseignement Supérieur Saint-Louis

Saint-Louis was the school in France where I spend 10 months as an exchange student in 2004. For my intern ship, they asked me to investigate and propose a new design for their current web site. I started to research the web, create website architectures, gathered the necessary information and ended up with creating a prototype for a possible design. It was my first introduction to web design, including HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver.

Type: HTML Web Design
Location: Currently on a free server
Used Technologies: (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Benchmarking, Analysis
